This week we are breaking our normal format because we are lucky enough to have two interviews with program co-ordinators in the United States. The first interview is with Scott Ferry at UCSD and the second interview is with Thomas Wood at ASU. They have some great information and advice for you about the overseas programs. We apologize for not having an interview with the University of Florida but hopefully you will get some useful information from the other two interviews that will help you plan for your trip.
Clint, Nicole and all the other instructors would like to wish you all a wonderful trip to America. Be safe and have fun. Don't forget the English Zone.

KNUE NEWS: This week on the KNUE News we have some news about the KNUE Christmas event which is on December 22nd. All the trainees and instructors will get together to celebrate Christmas.

Vocabulary words: selected from classes taught this week and read by a guest instructor every podcast
A wreath - A circular decoration usually made from pine tree branches and hung on doors. It represents the circle of life.
To deck the halls – To decorate the home with Christmas decorations
x-mas – the shortened form of Christmas. Not usually used by Christians
T’was – the shortened form of ‘it was’ commonly used in the Christmas poem ‘T’was The Night Before Christmas’
Boughs of holly – bunches of holly branches used to decorate homes at Christmas time
A Christmas cake – different from regular cake, this cake has candied fruit inside and is very rich and dense.
Mistletoe – a plant that is hung from the ceiling at Christmas. If you are standing under the mistletoe with another person, you should kiss them.
Jack Frost – a mythical creature thought to cause cold weather and frosty conditions
Frosty – more formally known as Frosty the Snowman, this cartoon character is a favorite Christmas show for many children
A Grinch - Based on a Dr. Seuss character who stole Christmas, this is a person who is unkind and uncharitable
Trainee Spotlight: A trainee journal or essay read by the author. This week’s spotlight is on Lynn from secondary class 6 as she reads about her experiences in Texas with Mexican American Culture.
